If you currently have a stand attached to your LCD TV this is usually removed prior to fitting the wall mount. Third, the width of your TV should be 32″ or above. I bought this cable shortly after receiving an Xbox 360 Elite for Christmas. When I hooked it up to my parents’ tv, the picture was terrible. I even adjusted the 360’s HD settings. Before I decided to send it back, I wanted to try it on my tv at my apartment. I hooked it up there and it worked great. So it might just be the brand of tv. My parents have a Westinghouse and I have a Vizio. So the product DOES work…just on certain tvs. Buy with caution
