I have had trouble with my knees for years. They would hurt to walk and often lock up after just a minute or two of standing still. I looked at my legs in the mirror and thought that I was looking bow legged–which I had never been in my younger days. I also noticed that I wore my shoes on the outside of the heels. So, I got these inserts so that my feet would not roll to the outside,supination. The first two days with these inserts and my knees were popping and hurting. After my knees adapted to the 1/4 elevation on the outside of my heels, they have not hurt at all. I can walk easily, and my knees don’t lock up any more.br /br /The amount of elevation with these inserts is about 1/4 inch. I bought another pair of heel cup inserts from footsmart. This pair lifted the outside by almost 1/2 an inch which was too much of a change for my situation. I wore the footsmarts less than half an hour, and they messed up my knees for days. I went back to the 1/4 inch height cambions, and all settled back to normal, with no pain.br /br /I highly recommend these if you have a similar problem. Plus, customer service at Isokinetics is wonderful to deal with. Hope they help you.
