VIERA automatically chooses settings that provide the optimal image, so you get super-fast response and no delays. Even dark scenes with delicately rendered details are beautiful and easy to see./p/ph5VIERA Tools/h5pThe VIERA Tools user interface makes it easy to access and understand key functions. Images do not fade when viewed from an angle, and contrast is higher than in previous IPS Alpha models in spite of using less power. The IPS Alpha LED LCD TV offers superb color rendering and also contributes to the display’s slim design./ph5LED Backlight/h5pThis system places LED backlights on the top and bottom of the panel, and sends the light toward the center of the screen. Using light guides and diffusers, it distributes the light over the entire panel to provide backlighting. There is no need to cover the entire rear surface with LEDs, so the panel module is thinner and a great deal of energy is saved./ph5120Hz Motion Picture Pro 4/h5pEven fast-moving scenes are displayed sharply and clearly. With a 60Hz video signal input, 120Hz Motion Picture Pro 4 makes 120 frames/second from 60 frames/second. This increases the frame count to allow natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution. Motion Focus Technology also reduces flicker and effectively suppresses blurring and afterimages./ph5Dynamic Contrast/h5pBy combining the highly light-transmissive IPS Alpha Panel and high-brightness LED backlight, Panasonic have attained both high contrast and low power consumption. Also, by detecting the contrasting parts of the scene, the backlight is adjusted to maintain a brightness that is optimal for each area. Deep blacks are reproduced with no fading. The contrast between the brilliance of diamond-like stars and the deep black of the night sky produces a sharp, crisp image./ph5Wide Viewing Angle/h5pWith VIERA’s wide 178°* viewing angle, you see clear, vibrant images from every seat in the room. The backlight features a wide transmission aperture that enhances contrast between light and dark and improves response to provide smoother motion images./pph5Game Mode/h5pGames are much more fun when there’s no lag in operation. And the panel backlight’s wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, improving motion-image response. pimg src=”http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/Panasonic/panasonic-10viera-feature-ips.jpg” border=0 align=top width=350 height=231p /p/td/trtrtd valign=top width=85 align=centerimg src=”http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/Panasonic/panasonic-10viera-logo-game_mode.jpg” border=0 align=top width=80 height=48/tdtd valign=topstrongGame Mode:/strong With Game Mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. What’s more, VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. style=”vertical-align: top;” With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience. p If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get. ulliMinimum size = Viewing distance/3/liliMaximum size=Viewing distance/1.5/li/ul/td/tr/tbody/table
