This is, without doubt, the largest watch short of a time piece for King Kong! Its sized just short of a wall clock! A Humong! 5/8″ thick, it will put your arm into a coma! When I opened the box, I almost went into a coma! The watch can be seen by oncoming trucks a mile away. Huge and ultra thick. It protrudes up and can serve as a weapon for a martial arts expert. I started laughing at the “foot print” of this thing. After a few moments, I decided to have it sized and to give it a try. The jeweler removed 7 links and it still weighed a ton. But it started to “grow” on me. I decided to keep it and adjust to the uniqueness and distinctive style. There are a few criticisms and several positives. br /br /Firstly, besides the size and because of it, when sized to fit, the watch will not shift on your wrist. It will stay ontop and occupy the entire top of your wrist. You might have to let out your shirt sleeve cuffs but it will not slide, and that’s a guarantee! The luminous markers are too small and cannot be seen in the dark. The chronograph has three sub-fields and wastes one of them with a 1/10th second marker. Would have been better suited to include the day, month, or 60 minute timer. The date box is very small and the band is quite wide but proportionately so. Now the positives…the watch is distinctive and fabulously detailed. Fit and finish, superb. The case is well designed, defined, and unique in detail. The watch will be a topic of conversation and will stand out from the crowd. If you attend a football game with 80,000 and they do an exit poll, rest assured, you will be the only one wearing the watch in that crowd. br /br /It takes some time to adjust to, but once acclimated, the watch will not only impress but be a welcome addition to your collection.

I own this watch and I must say that the other 2 reviewers apparently know nothing about automatic watches. If you are a watch collector or just a person that likes beautiful and functional timepieces then this watch is for you. The Invicta Subaqua Noma 3 model 4561 has a 50mm case, it is 18mm thick, the band is 28mm wide, it weighs in at 14.4 oz’s, it has Sapphire crystals front and back and it is waterproof to a depth of 500 meters or 1650 feet below sea level, and one of the most important features of this fine timepiece is it uses the Valjoux 7750 25 jewel automatic movement.br /This watch most likely isn’t for anyone that has wrist size smaller that 6.5″ and most women wouldn’t care for the size and weight of this fine watch. Other than that this watch is for me the perfect timepiece in every way. I own 52 other watches ranging from Casio Pathfinder, to Rolex Sub Mariners. I wear a different watch the way most people wear a favorite pair of jeans or sport coat. But this watch is my favorite watch. I wear it almost everyday. This Invicta watch gets a lot of questions from people everywhere, a lot of women are very curious about the size and weight and also the materials that go into the Subaqua Noma model 4561.br /I must give a lesson for those of you that don’t know what an Automatic watch is, An Automatic watch is not a Quartz watch. A Quartz watch uses a battery to keep it running and they keep very good time. A Mechanical watch is like an Automatic except it must be wound every day to keep it running. I have a Hamilton mechanical watch that was built in the mid 20’s and it still keeps perfect time. Then we come to the Automatic Timepiece, an Automatic is a Mechanical watch that has a rotor on the backside of the movement under the back case or under the exhibition back. This Rotor spins with your arm movement. In other words it winds itself as you walk or just move the arm the watch is on. A lot of people want to know if the automatic watch can be over wound, the answer is NO. It can not be over wound by the rotor but some Automatic watches may be over wound by the crown. (I’m sorry I should have gone over that), the Crown is the small usually knurled wheel that is on the side of the watch that you use to set the date and time. On an Automatic or Mechanical watch this is used to wind the watch and of course set the time and date. If you wear the automatic every day it will not have to be wound manually by the crown. The automatic can be over wound in many cases, when you feel a little bit of resistance or tightening on the crown STOP!!!! br /winding. Also most automatic’s have a Power Reserve, and that means the watch will usually keep running for about 36 to 45 hours after you take the watch off your wrist. You may also want to use a Automatic Winder or Rotator, this is a tool that you put your Automatic watch into and it will rotate usually every 3 to 4 hours for about 15 minutes or so just to keep the Automatic watch wound. Most Automatic watches only wind in one direction. Like I said at the beginning of this review The Subaqua Noma 3 model 4561 is a beautiful example of Swiss engineering. This Invicta watch deserves it’s place on your wrist.

this timepiece is incredible. it’s huge and heavy. but it looks so refined. the black and white combination looks really elegant. and the skeletonized automatic gives it an industrial modern look. also the craftsmanship is flawless. mies van der rohe said “god is in the details” and this watch has them. from the skeleton dial. to the luminous hour markers. the hands. the invicta logo on the seconds hand. every little detail makes it look even awesomer. its looks much more expesive than the price you are paying for it. it even look more expensive than 0 factory price tag it comes with. if you are looking for that special watch, look no further. this is the one.
