Invicta Men’s 3449 Corduba Collection Oversized Chronograph Watch CustomerReview

I’ve had my Invicta 3449 Corduba for about a month now and hold the watch in a very positive light. I would consider giving it as a gift. In my opinion, not a “wear-everyday watch”, but a “wear-most-days” watch (most=2/3 of time). I like it a lot and find it aesthetically pleasing when worn. It looks and feels as if there is some good heritage and tradition behind this watch. Not too flashy, but simply and solidly built. br /br /Addressing some other peoples’ complaints with my personal experience:br /br /1. “The watch hands are small and makes it difficult to read the time”br /br /I do agree that Invicta could have made the watch hands larger to make readability better; however, I don’t find any extraordinary effort or annoyance in reading the time. I glance at it and it takes me about 2-4 seconds to find the time.br /br /2. “The watch crown digs into the back of your hand”br /br /I don’t have any issue with this. From what I can conclude, the watch crown digging into the back of your hand can occur from the watch sitting most distally (most toward your fingertips) *AND* if you flex your hand back to touch the crown. If you find your hands flexing back because of whatever you’re doing, you’ll probably have to sit the watch higher on your wrist.br /br /3. “The watch is gaudily big. Flava Flav!”br /br /The watch is big enough to get noticed and when you look at it sitting on your wrists, it seems very big. However, if you look at it in the context of your whole body, you’ll find that it is a large watch but not something unusually out of proportion. I think it looks masculine and youthful (I’m in my 20’s).br /br /4. “Too big that it won’t fit on long sleeve shirts” / “Some issue putting it in pockets”br /br /This is true depending on what kind of long sleeve shirts you wear. All of my long sleeve sweaters, hoodies, and most jackets with flexible wrist ribbing fit over the watch. However, for most of my button-down/collared shirts, the sleeves fit snugly over it and it is a tight fit (but my sleeves doesn’t get stuck. my sleeves will naturally go over the watch again if I raise up my arms and the sleeves move out away from the watch). My collared shirts are medium Express modern fitted (should give you an idea of sleeve size). So, if you want to wear this with a button-down, collared shirt, make sure you have sleeves with some room or consider rolling up your sleeves.br /br /Also, there can be some issue when digging your hands into your pockets if your pockets are deep. The watch may catch or not allow your hand to go into the pocket. If you have to fit your whole hand in your pocket to grab something, consider putting it in your right pocket. I don’t have much issue with this.br /br /5. “Strap is short and stiff”br /br /True. The “calf leather” strap is relatively short and stiff. The only trouble I have with this is putting on/taking off the watch. There are two “holder bands” (like belt loops) that hold the strap in place after you buckle it in. One of them is immobile (it’s sewn onto the band) and the strap must be placed through it. I don’t consider this a big issue. However, if you take off and on your watch a lot, you might find this annoying. You may consider cutting off that first, immobile strap for easier looping through the remaining strap holder.br /br /Some important things to note that weren’t explicit stated so you’re not surprised.br /br /1. It’s “Japan Quartz Movement” and not a “Swiss Movement”. But, the chrono works well enough for me and the watch seems accurate.br /2. (Refer to picture). The clock-seconds is kept by the bottom dial (continually runs). The chronograph-seconds is kept by the traditionally seconds-hand that rotates in the same region as the hour and minute hands. This seemed to confuse me for a while until I figured it out (maybe I’m just a noob).br /3. Don’t forget to register online to extend your warranty to 5 years for free. Follow instructions on the Amazon.com product page for this special offer.br /br /I will update on durability (like watch face scratchings, case scratchings, leather fading). So far:br /br /1 mo: No scratches or leather band fading with me wearing it daily 5 out of 7 days of the week. No exposure to water yet.br /br /

Invicta Men’s Corduba Collection Oversized Chronograph Watch #3449 CustomerReview

i’m 81–my wife told me in no uncertain terms that she would not go out in public,if i were to wear the invicta.-the watch is now three days old,and her lady friends have passed on their verdict.— my wife goes and the watch stays.the only product that gave me this was a kind of a kick was a mazda miata that i owned at age 60. i have a blue invicta and if i could,i’d buy a red one.i’m a watch collector–but have never owned an invicta.watch looks and feels, and is made to make one feel it is very expensive.go for it—if you aremy age it will take a few years off your life. the only small item of concern, and it was easily solved.this is not a watch a watch for a lefty,as the watch crown digs into your wrist. i,m lefty—and no way was i about to send it back.solution–i,m wearing it on my right hand—took a couple of hours to adjust. perfect
