After searching high and low for the perfect running shoe for me, I decided to go with this one. I tried to buy a “running” shoe on my own at a local department store, but after only one time wearing it my feet so bad that I decided to go to a running shop in my area. The gentleman at the shop measured my feet and had me do a trial run to see what kind of shoe I would need. He said I was neutral runner and brought out some shoes for me to try on. I tried on about five different pairs of running shoes and decided to go with the Asics Gel Culumus 12. It is absolutely the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned! I’m new to running so I wanted to make sure that my feet were comfortable and that my knees would be okay too. The cushion in this shoe is so comfortable that I forget that I’m even wearing them! If you’re not sure which shoe is for you, I would definitely recommend you visit a running shop so they can help you find the perfect shoe for you….I’m so glad I did and now I look forward to putting many miles on my new shoes!!

With a Japanese brand like Asics, you would have high expectations like I did when I made my purchase. However, they did not live up to my standards, especially how expensive they were. My previous Asics trail Gel Attack 3 were more comfortable than the Cumulus 10. In comparison with the Brooks Glycerin and Saucony Pro Grid Jazz, the Cumulus 10 place 3rd. I am still puzzled how they feel SO comfortable when walking but so rigid during running. Running roughly ~20 miles a week, my knees tell me the difference between the 3 pairs in comparison. In terms of weight, it’s heaviest of the 3. The Brooks Glycerin is the most comfortable shoe for my type of feet. (Medium arch with neutral pronation). This will be the last time I wear Asics.
